Meeting with all Shantu members in Taiwan
In this meeting, we got to know each other and discussed the progress of the project this year. A group of Shantu members will go to Malawi this summer to gain more local knowledge on the project implementation and exchange resources and knowledge with team members in Malawi. Moreover, SHANTU is successfully collaborating with Xinzhuang Elementary School to teach kids about global health and the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). This August, a summer camp will be organized together with Xinzhuang Elementary School, including fun activities to teach kids more about these topics. The WASH team finished the first technical report, which summarizes the work which has been done this year on the selected school garden in Malawi. The report also discusses adjustments which were needed for local implementation of the developed school garden tool.
All SHANTU members and the PI, Prof. C.C. Chan, wish the team members who go to Malawi this summer an amazing and resourceful trip!
