Day 10: Science Museum Field Trip
Today was the last day of our 2022 SHANTU Summer Camp. To celebrate the end of our summer camp program, SHANTU members and Xinzhuang parents took our Healthy Helpers on a field trip to the National Taiwan Science Education Center in Shilin. We visited many interesting exhibitions during our field trip. The National Taiwan Science Education Center is a very large museum with multiple floors. During our field trip, we visited exhibitions around the lobby and the Science Discovery Center on the third floor.
We saw a robot designed by high school students, attempted to solve Rubix cubes together, and played Dance Dance Revolution. We also learned about static electricity and saw how it made Teacher Rin’s hair stand up straight! After exploring the museum together, we ate lunch and helped our little friends who are joining our principals’ meeting presentation practice their speeches. We hope that our Healthy Helpers had a lot of fun and learned many new English words about global health and sustainability during our summer camp program.
